Marvin D King, loving husband, father, friend and Vietnam Vet, passed away January 3, 2018 peacefully in his sleep at the age of 71.
Cremation was arranged through Lake Shore Funeral Home.
He was born on March 20, 1946 in Miles, Texas to Roy D. King and Florence P. Joiner.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sheila J King; his parents, Roy and Florence King; and brothers, Melvin King and Roy L King.
Survivors include his children, Travis King and wife, Heather of Silsbee, Texas, Chris King and wife, Cassie of Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, Debbie Petansky and husband, Steve of Spring Texas, Shelly Morgan and husband, David of Plantersville Texas; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Bill King and wife, Sue of Midlothian, Texas; sister, Margie Cuppes of Sabinal, Texas.
He will forever be loved and missed.

He was a patriot. And I salute his service. My prayer was for him to conquer the demons that his service presented him. Those of us not presented with those challenges can only imagine. And I’m sure our imagination would fall short of Mr Kings reality. He never complained, he just came back and lived his life.
