Graveside Service is 11 am Saturday, January 8 at Oakwood Cemetery, Waco.

Erin Amanda Wilson Chrisman joined the heavenly hosts on December 19, 2021. Born on March 7, 1979, she attended elementary schools in Waco, Texas. Erin graduated from Central High School in Beaumont, Texas. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Sam Houston State University. The birth of daughter Chrissy, now a junior at Midway High School, added a profound joy to life that only grew through the years. Besides spending time with Chrissy, Erin’s favorite pastimes included an interest in history, an appreciation for museums, a love of reading and an affinity for crime shows.

Erin’s light shown so brightly throughout a lifetime marked with acts of kindness. Now at rest in the arms of her loving God, her light shines ever brighter. Her father, Ed Wilson, preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter Chrissy; her Mother and step-father, Jane and Harry Comer; her brother Matthew Wilson and his wife Kim and children Kaitlin, Zachery and Sophia; her sister Amye Hartfield and her husband Daniel and children Evelyn and Emmitt, her step-daughters Hailey Chrisman and Holly Woods. Her friends, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins can testify to her genuine kindness.

Erin knew great happiness when she was helping others whether on mission trips or just outside Walmart. In lieu of flowers, her request would be to do an act of kindness for another person or to contribute time and financial resources to your favorite charity.

The family requests that everyone wear an N95 or KN95 mask even though the event is outside so that we can all be more comfortable greeting each other.

Erin’s favorite color was purple; so if you have something purple, please feel free to wear it.

  7. I first met Erin when she was an infant, and even then, she was such a sweet, happy baby. Her bubbly personality continued throughout her adult life. My most recent memories of Erin are the times we shared at her mom’s, celebrating Thanksgivingj and/or Christmas. She always brought delicious food to share with her family and friends. Most of all, though, I remember her smiling face as she welcomed everyone at the door during the festivities, laughed in delight when opening her presents, and gave everyone the biggest hugs to send friends on their way home. You couldn’t help but feel so much more optimistic about life when you were enveloped in Erin’s sparkling spirit.

  8. I was so sorry to hear of Erin’s passing. She was like a little pixie when I was around her. There was a special light, laugh, kindness, and energy every time she came into a room. I always felt more upbeat being around her. She is missed everyday. Wishing peace to all who knew her.
