Waltrip Bryan1

Bryan Keith Waltrip, 53 of Hewitt, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2022 at his residence.

No services are planned at this time.

Bryan was born November 3, 1968 in Batesville, AR but moved to Greenville, TX as a teenager where he graduated from Greenville High School in 1987. He was the only child of Linda Wilson and David Waltrip.Bryan obtained a BA in Chemistry and worked for several companies including Reheis, Austin Pharma and Insys Therapeutics where he made many friends throughout his career. He later started his own company, KinetoChem, with his friend and business partner, Everett McKinley.

Bryan and his beloved wife, Kim were married in 1992 and just celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary on June 1. They had two daughters, Shannon and husband Tony, and Heather; and then later several grandchildren, Dylan, Camryn and August; and one great grandchild, David.

Bryan never missed an opportunity to have fun with his family. His favorite times were taking his grandkids on meticulously planned vacations all over the United States as they worked towards visiting all 50 states and trips out West with his wife, Kim for desert hiking and adventures. Music was a huge part of his life and he spent time playing in several bands in his younger days and continued to entertain his family with his amazing concerts at home. He never met an instrument he couldn’t play. Everyone that met him was drawn in by his warm demeanor, quick witted sense of humor and ability to have fun no matter what. Bryan worked hard, played hard and lived out his dreams every single day.

Donations in Bryan’s memory can be made to ALS. Please help us find a cure for this terrible disease that has taken so many.
