Harvey was born July 1, 1952 to Harvey H. Fadal Jr. and Frances Helen Fadal. He loved to play. One might say that Harvey could wear a hat for any occasion. He was a kind-hearted person who was all in for just about anything. He enjoyed his family, aggravating his friend Randy Adamson, umpiring, eating, fishing, eating, hunting, eating, watching Texas Ranger baseball, eating, well he pretty much enjoyed doing anything if it required being somewhere and eating. Harvey was a person who loved to laugh and was a young kid at heart who was constantly learning. He had a wonderful childhood and LOVED living. He had fun growing up with his cousins Ed (Sonny), Cheryl, Carroll, and Rose Wayne. “For all the times we never realized were so damn special.” Harvey had great friends but just a couple of jobs. He worked for Manitou and Alcoa. I know he would like to think that he never worked for anyone but the Lord and his family. The Lord knew he was perfect but Harvey never felt like he quite fit the bill and his entire family thought he was perfect too. Harvey would like to thank the dialysis team at Lake Shore Kidney Center for struggling through his treatments with him for three years, but there was no way anyone could convince him that living on dialysis was his type of living at all, but everyone has their reasons. He chose to stop treatment and rush home to be with the Lord.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey H. Fadal Jr. and mother, Frances Helen Fadal; son, Nick Fadal; uncles and aunts, Edmond and Marion Fadal and Walter Fadal.
He is survived by the love of his life, Virginia Fadal; son, Davy LaValley; daughters, Renee Cluke and husband, Alan, Cindy Audet and husband, David and Jamie Hulse; his sister, Diane Rose Issa, whom he always said was the most special person in the world to him and her husband, Nizam Issa; nieces, Francie Jallad and husband, Sami and Sadie Donaldson and husband ,Ben; nephew, Wade Issa and wife, Natalia; great-nieces and great-nephews, Sophia, Dianna and Alex Jallad, Gerard Issa and Huck Donaldson; grand-children, Frankie Cluke and wife, Ashley, Amelia and Sophie Cluke, Paul and William Audet, Emili, Amanda, Kaitlyn, and Sarah LaValley, Miranda and Ethan Romero, and Brayden Holubec; great-grandchildren, Georgia Lynn and HAC (Hudson) Cluke, Caroline Audet, Kaden Hurtt, Bean (Corbin) LaValley and Rylie Price; and aunt, Lil Fadal. His love for his wife and family could only be surpassed by his faith in Jesus Christ.
Harvey would like to thank Providence Hospice for their care. Harvey loved his dog, Truman, but Bandit always had a special place in his heart so he asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Waco Humane Society.
This obituary was written by Harvey himself, prior to his death.

You meant more to me than I can ever begin to express. Your family took me in and taught me about the world. You were my first love and best friend. Without your strength and guidance I never would have survived losing our boy. Like you, there were many days I certainly didn’t want to survive it. The old saying, “know thyself” is surely apparent because you perfectly described yourself in the words you wrote. I was always so grateful that after we couldn’t make it that you had Virginia. I love her too!!! Harv, I’m really sorry you had to go and I will MISS you…but I understand. See ya on the other side. Love you always.
You could always expect a good time when hanging out with Harvey. The one thing you never wanted to do was dare him to do anything – an I mean anything! Oh the stories Jan and I have. Peace out my man.
I grew up with Harvey and went to high school with him but mostly I remember him at St. Alban’s. He and I were in the youth group together. He was always one of my most favorite friends at church. I left Waco after we graduated from high school but I have never forgotten my memories of him. He was charming and funny!
Harvey, I will never forget the funny prankster side of you – having your name announced at graduation as Harvey Habib Fadal the Third – and breaking up not only the class, but the entire HOT coliseum. Rest in Peace, my friend – I am so sorry we never got to catch up at any of the reunions…….XOXOXOXOXO, Stoney
Harvey and I double dog dared each other as kids growing up. He ALWAYS out dared me and that is saying A LOT. RIP old friends you’ll never be forgotten. happy Trails to you, until we meet again.
When I think of Harvey, I think of a big smile. One on his face and he brought one to mine. Probably too simplistic, but from my perspective, joy personified! Thanks for the laughs, my friend.
I remember you laughing at school that was nice , Ihavent seen you since ,so good bye friend ! Donna Thomas Gutierrez!
Elementary school we would go to eat burgers at your family store. Living two houses down from you right on the Brazos. I knew you would be the man Virginia needed in her life.Say howdy to our friends that are resting in eternity with you now.
Ginny and family

Your Neighbors: “Hunts”
Harvey, I remember vividly cruising around Waco in your Chevy Malibu. You were an amazing friend back then, and I’m sorry we lost track of each other. Rest in peace, old friend!
My memories of Harvey were always great as well as everyone, He would preface before pontificating ” Well you know Kid ” I think because he was knew he was in 7th grade when I was in kindergarten…. That kiddo stuff always made me laugh. Or when he bellowed ” Virginia ” and she would respond from another part of the house… What Harv ? And he would have a question.. He viewed challenges by default as they need to be overcome if they benefited his loved ones. I respected Harvey because he made the changes in his life that made it possible to be a good father grandfather and husband. He will be missed by his family and myself and his example of perserverance is something that many can learn from. Take Care my friend and say Hello to Nick for me….
Harvey, you will live on in me, in my memories of the times we sung together in the Waco boys choir in the 6th grade and in Miss Smitherman’s Lake Air choirs. You sung with great enthusiasm, and you were the first among us to embrace singing those high notes even after our voices had changed. What fun it is to have that memory of your playful singing. My last memory of you always makes me smile, but in some ways it is somewhat of a dud. You and David with the red Super Sport came over to visit me just before the day of our Speech class final in an attempt to study together. I am afraid that I failed you two at that moment because apparently and according to my faded memory, the speech final may not have ended as well as we had hoped for all participants. Nevertheless, the memory will continue eternally to make me smile. Thanks for the memories which I will cherish forever.
I have fond memories of Harvey from high school. He had such a wonderful smile and could always make us laugh no matter what kind of day we were having. Rest In Peace my friend… you will definitely be missed from those from the class of ‘70 from RHS!!
I was so sorry to hear of Harvey’s passing. I don’t know of anyone, who didn’t have fond memories of him. For Harvey’s family, please know that so many people are grieving Harvey’s loss along with you. I hope you will all have comfort in the coming days, months and years ahead, knowing that Harvey touched so many lives.
Grew up with Harvey through the 4th grade We were always running in and out of his parents work place The nicest friend I had till I moved across town
It’s funny from what I’ve read I also owned a red Malibu SS at one
time
I know the world will be alot emptier without a man like you Harvey
Virginia, I’m so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Love, Hope
Harvey you were the best brother-in-law anyone could ask for you were always there for everyone. I first knew you and high school and I got Virginia a job at the little store that’s how you all met. The house will be so quiet without you there hollering… BABE… Every few minutes to Virginia. Your last word to me was ABSOLUTELY… When I asked you if everything was good between you and God. You will be missed by so many but it won’t be much longer I think , till we are all walking on those streets of gold. ❣️❣️❣️
You are the reason there is a fence around the Airport! I have shared the story about you showing me ” the biggest jackrabbits I have ever seen” many times over the years. Good times. Look forward to seeing you in the kingdom. Always have a special place in my heart.
