John and I love and respect Jacky Wallace so much and our prayers are with Darlene and the family. His promotion to heaven has left a huge vacancy at Hewitt First Baptist Church! He was such an encourager to many and he did it in so many ways. His faithful telephone calls will be missed. The last time I saw Jacky was at church where he was greeting everyone with his typical humor!

I thought the world of Jacky! He was Daddy’s Sunday School teacher. I’d wait outside their classroom, and he’d just love to aggravate me each week after their class let out. One time, he called the house and asked to speak to my “old, ugly daddy”! I told my parents what this person had said(not knowing it was Jacky), and my parents told me to hang up on him!! Well Jacky called back, and everyone had a good laugh after we found out it was Jacky. That was always the running joke after that. I just wanted to share that funny memory of Jacky. We just loved him, and he will certainly be missed.

When Jacky and Darlene moved to Waco, they lived directly across the street from us. Wonderful neighbors and better friends. From time to time we would engage in a game of dominos. Needless to say Jacky provided the entertainment. Like Jacky and Darlene; Frances and I had a daughter and a son. Thus our children grew to know and play with one another. At that time all of us attended Beverly Hills Baptist Church. Jacky always had a positive outlook and a warm greeting. I can share and deeply appreciate Darlene’s loss as I lost Frances eleven months ago.
Jacky will be missed it was an honor to have worked with him . He was one of the finest men I have ever known. Rest in peace great man.

Jacky was a great Trooper and friend. I met him on November 1, 1968 when he and I reported for Highway Patrol duty in Waco at the old office on Washington St. He and I worked together in Patrol and License and Weight for about 14 years. He has always been a friend. Take care and maybe we will see each other later. RIP
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Jacky was always such a joy to be a around May God be with you and give you peace and comfort.
Judy and I are sorry for your loss and offer our condolences to your family. I will greatly miss Jacky and his outgoing and friendly personality. He always had a smile on his face and laughed a lot. May God grant you peace ,hope and comfort during this difficult time.
I have many good memories of Jacky. He was one of the older Troopers in Waco DPS Regional Office. He was always smiling and had an unlit cigar in his mouth. He showed up one day way out in the country in Limestone County near Prairie Hill, while he was patrolling in the area. Donna and I were putting stain on our cedar board house when he drove up. He said he spotted my black and white, parked in the driveway, from along way off and just came up to see who lived there. We had a good visit. Later in 1995, when Jacky retired from DPS, I filled the opening he left in L & W. Back then you had to have at least 20 years on to get a coveted L & W slot. I drove Jacky’s 1994 Chevrolet Caprice Patrol car for about 3 years before it was replaced with a new unit. I will miss seeing him at the yearly retirement gathering at the Texas Ranger meeting room on the Brazos River. For the family, may God ease your grief and give you comfort. Think back to all the good times that Jacky was a part of.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to this sweet family. We first got to know them at Beverly Hills Baptist Church. My parents thought Jacky and Darlene were very special people. I remember there were people living down the street from my parents that were dealing drugs so Jacky would come over to my parents and visit in his DPS car so that the people up the street would know that someone was watching. My dad always said it was like having his own personal DPS. We all love your family and praying for you during this time. May God Bless you.
Ron and I are praying for God’s grace and overwhelming peace to surround Darlene and all of Jacky’s family now and in the days ahead. Ron already misses his Gospel music buddy. I promise that Sage Levi will always be reminded of her great-PaPa Jacky anytime we listen to the music he loved.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Love and sympathy. Gail and JC
Jim and I are heartbroken. Jim has not known Jacky for long, but quickly found him to be a great resource and model for walking out one’s faith. I (Pat) have many wonderful memories of Jacky and Darlene. They lived across the street from us when our kids were young and we have great memories of our times together. Darlene, Jacque, Colten, Bryan, Kay, Colton, Holly, Derek, Dylan and Ian, we are praying for you as you try to wrap your head around this great loss. Jacky loved his family and had great joy in serving them. He also loved his Men’s Sunday School Class, and would faithfully call each member every week. Steady, loving and faithful are words that we would use to describe Jacky.
My thoughts and prayers are with you , Darlene and your family for the loss of Jacky. I just couldn’t believe it when I was told. I liked Jacky. He was a very good friend. He always checked to see how I was doing. He will be missed.
He will be missed, but we know he is in a better place
Jacky & Darlene were our special friends . Jacky & I had our golf day rain or shine and we even golfed on a day when it was 22 degrees . I loved seeing my friends face when he hit his golf ball & it broke in
half. we laughed about it for years. Love you Bill & Betty Maley
