Joe Raymond Allen, 68 of Waco, entered eternal rest on August 18, 2010.
Memorial Services will be 1pm Saturday August 28, 2010 at Connally Free Will Baptist Church, 2200 Air Base Road, Waco, TX 76705, with Rev. J.E. Jean officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at 3PM at Oakwood Cemetery.
Joe Raymond was a native Texan and loved his family, fishing, camping and boating. He was a much loved father, proud marine and FREE AT LAST.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy L. Knight and Nathan G. Allen; and three brothers, Robert N., Clem E., and Charles W. Allen.
Survived by his four children, daughter Patricia A Allen of Rowlett, TX; three sons, Jimmy Ray, Michael Joe & Robert Samuel Allen of Axtell TX; four sisters, Ruby Lois Cummings, Luita Ann Nobles, Mika Leticia Villarial and Harva G. Pittock; two brothers, Truman Lee and Gary Lynn Allen; five grandchildren; and much extended family.
Forever gone, but never forgotten.

Pauline, Jimmy, Patty, Michael and Robert, Our love and our sympathy go out to you. There are a lifetime of happy memories that we have of camping, fishing, swimming, visiting, worshiping and just loving one another. Cherish those happy thoughts and know that one day we will understand why things happen the way they do. We will always remember and love Joey. The six of you have always had a special place in our hearts and the happy memories will fill the void that is now in Joeys space. We love you very much and are always here for you.
It is approaching one month that my daddy died. I still cannot believe he is gone. I miss him so.
