  3. Louis was a good friend and great company. We did several bike rides together, went shooting, and ate at George’s many times. It was great times when Marlin, Maggie, Louis, Marlinda, Charles and Ben, and Grace and Ruth, (that Ruth) could ask occasionally get together and solved the world’s problems. Louis was a wonderful guy and will be missed.

Louis and I were friends since the second grade at Lake Waco Elementary. We shared many common interests including hunting, fishing, bicycling, motor sports and aviation.
He had a near photographic memory of people and things that interested him.

Having attended Baylor and taken a business major he had a good understanding of finance. While working for Texaco he invested most of his salary so he could retire early and pursue other interests. He was successful in doing so.

I left Waco pursuing my career but we always stayed in touch and I made it a point to visit when possible, especially as his health began to fail. Fortunately he had a network of good friends for support.

I will miss his insight as he always seemed to be informed on many subjects and had clear ideas as to how things should be.
