Tony Phillip Bryant, 67 of China Spring, passed away peacefully at the VA Hospital in Temple on September 5, 2023at 12:45AM. He will be cremated at the Lake Shore Funeral Home and Crematory, services will be held at a later date.

Tony was born December 15, 1955, in Columbus, Georgia. Tony was the oldest of 2 children born to James and Ivy Bryant of Seale, Alabama. Tony joined the Army in 1974. He was stationed at Fort Hood, where he met Glena Hill. They were married in 1976, and shared 47 years together, living in Waco. Tony later started Bryant’s Full Service. They had 3 children and moved to China Spring in 2000, where they “inherited” a few extra children, Randy, Steven, Michael, and a few others that simply spent a lot of time at their home. Tony loved to fish, hunt, eat, and talk trash, when he was not working. If Tony did nothing else, Tony did, what Tony knew how to do the best, “eat and talk shit”, long as it was good food, it did not matter how far or how long it took to get there, he was going to eat and talk trash!

Tony was preceded in death by his mother, Ivy in 2000; and his father, James in 2018.

Tony is survived by his wife, Glena; and 3 children, Viki, James and Erick; 8 grandchildren, Braelon, Gracie, Ransom, Lukas, Gavin, William, Brinnly, Karly; sister, Bonita Burch and her husband Richard and their 3 children, Richie, Adam, and Gina; and 4 great nephews.
