Travis Glynn Blackwell, 70, passed away at his home on April 11, 2024. Travis was born in Quitman, Mississippi to Nathan and Geneva Blackwell. He was the fourth child of seven. The family moved to Texas when he was just a boy. Travis learned cabinet making and carpentry in high school, and made this his life-long career. He was a perfectionist when it came to his work and took pride in all he completed. He loved hunting, fishing, and just being outside. Travis was baptized and is in the care of our heavenly Father.
Visitation and Service: 5-7pm, Tuesday, April 23nd, 2024 at New Day Family Fellowship, 1861 Church Road, McGregor, Texas
Travis was preceded in death by his parents, Nathan, and Geneva Blackwell; sisters, Bennie Sue, and Linda Diane; and brother, James Robert.
Travis is survived by daughters, Lisa Lyn Kirkpatrick, and husband Chad and, Rachel Diane Abeyta, and husband Dominic; sisters, Sandra Faye Eaton and husband Rick, Martha Kay Jackson, and Pamela Leneal Brooker; grandchildren, Kelly Lanford, and wife Heather, Kristi Garcia, and husband Miguel, Kalee Lanford and wife Bailey, and Valerie Owens; great grandchildren, Ryder, Dean, Laney, and Georgia Lanford.
Until we meet again, we will keep his memory with us always. Let our tears be replaced with the happiness of times we remember and may our heavenly Father wrap his arms around us and bless us with eternal love.
