Barbara Ann Bradshaw, 72, of Waco, passed away Thursday, April 25th after a lengthy battle with heart disease.
Visitation; Monday, April 29th, from 5-7pm.
Memorial service; Tuesday, April 30th at 2pm.
Barbara was born Aug. 28, 1951 in Waco, Texas to John and Mary Greaves. She attended school at Provident Heights Elementary, Lake Air Jr. High and graduated from Richfield High School in 1969. She was married to Terry Stallard from 1969-81 and they had two children Terry R. Stallard II and Jennifer Stallard. For most of her life she was a homemaker. Later she worked as a greeter and florist at the Super Kmart. She also worked as a home health care aide for her mother-in-law Dorothy Bradshaw.
Barbara married Johnnie Bradshaw Oct. 26, 1982 and were married over 41 years. Together they enjoyed many nights of live music, vacations and loved to dance together. Barbara loved her trips to the beach and “Nanny Adventures” with her children, step children, grand kids, and great grandchild. The house on Homan was a popular hangout for Terry, Jennifer, Johnny Ray, and Laura’s friends. The kids were drawn to Barbara’s ability to listen and easy laugh. She was openhearted and caring and a surrogate mother to many. Many a bicycle adventure started there. Barbara was an avid fan of Willie Nelson and enjoyed traveling to Winstar with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; daughter, Jennifer Ann Stallard; sister, Mary Louise Peevey; niece, Lora Diane Bell; best friends, Terry Shofner, Jeannie Rogers, and Sandra Woods.
She is survived by her husband Johnnie Bradshaw; son, Terry Stallard; nieces, May Bell and Rita Kincannon; step children, Johnny Ray and Laura Bradshaw, and Jillian Stallard; grandchildren, Olivia, Erik, Cameron, Lourson, and Tyler; great grandchild, Kaia Short, plus her many friends.

Barbara, I’m going to miss you so much, you and Johnnie have been a very important part of my life for 47 years, met you during the Starlites days, I remember Janet and Lori Woods, Jennifer, Terry, and Laura at West Fraternal Auditorium in West at the Starlites dances. You had a hard year and a half with all your health problems and then losing Jennifer in November 2023. The last time I saw you was when you and Johnnie came to the Cruisers night at the Church of The Open Door in Bellmead. So many memories we shared, and I will always love you with all my heart and soul! Give Jennifer and my parents Barbara and Stanley Sr. a big hug from me and tell them I love them and miss them so much! God bless you, Barbara, rest in peace, you and Johnnie were a huge blessing in my life. I will always be grateful for having you both in my life for 47 years.

Johnny, we are so saddened to hear that Barbara has passed away. I remember her from our children’s days at Providence Heights Elementary School. I wish I had known she was with you at Griff’s – I would had come over to say hello with Pepsi. We know the Lord will bring His Holy Spirit to surround you with peace and comfort. I am very saddened to hear of your beloved Barbara’s passing. I have been wondering why I hadn’t seen my beautiful neighbor out and about. She will be dearly missed.
