Jan was the awesome midwife that bridged our family together! I am the oldest daughter of Hercil Scott. I have lived in Colorado for most of my life…I was always thrilled when I was younger and got to spend a couple of weeks in the summer with Jan and my family in Gholson! She always exemplified level-headed loving leadership teamwork qualities!! She would see to it that I was the big sister, and I would always have us singing!!! My sisters all could sing, I was the director! Jan and I kept in touch through the years! I never came to Waco without going by Jan’s house!! To her beautiful family: May the love of God and His perfect peace comfort and strengthen you in the days ahead as you keep your trust in Almighty God! Sending love and hugs to each of you…Praying for you ALWAYS ❤️

Hearing the news of Ms. Toney’s passing today caught me off guard, and my heart aches for the family. I am praying for strength, peace of mind, and comfort for everyone during this difficult time. Ms. Toney was like a mother to so many of us. She was a great provider, a loving soul, and always knew how to push us when we needed it most. Her presence in my life was truly a blessing, and I’ll forever cherish the impact she had on me. I know it hurts, but please hold on to prayer and the beautiful memories she left with us all.
Stay strong, and know that her love and guidance will always be with us.
