Agnes Donaldson, 86, of Oglesby, passed away Sunday, August 7th.

Funeral Service: 10AM Wednesday, August 10th at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park.

Visitation: 6 to 8PM Tuesday, August 9th at Lake Shore Funeral Home.

Agnes was born July 4, 1930, to the late Malcolm and Lola Bell (Pace) Jones in Waco. She attended Waco schools and retired from Safeway. She was a caring mother and grandmother who was much loved and will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Owen Donaldson; sisters, Oleata Jones, Melba Brown and Sue Tidwell; brother, Malcom Jones, Jr.; great-granddaughter, Kayla Renee Berryhill; and great-grandson, Joe Don Shaw.

Survivors include daughters, Cynthia Wilson and husband, Billy of Waco, Deborah Shaw and husband, Billy J. of Oglesby, Brenda Niemeier of Oglesby; son, Jeff Donaldson of Moody; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Young, Jeffrey Donaldson, Larry Shaw, Billy Shaw, Larry Young and Brett Berryhill. Honorary pallbearers will be Colton Shaw, Cody Shaw and Ernest Willich.

Memorials may be made to Providence Hospice.

  6. When I would visit Agnes before she got sick…I would ask her how she was doing. She would always say “I’m still here!” When she first went to St. Catherine’s….again she responded “I’m still here!”

    Yes….”she is still here” in our hearts. Those we love can never be more than a thought away….for as long as there’s a memory they live in our hearts to stay!
