Alan was born November 6, 1956 to Charles and Betty (Crabb) Withoff. He graduated University with a Masters Degree, and later went on to work as a Master Librarian at Central Texas College.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his cousin.

I tried to find you for years and ended up finding this sad obituary two years after you died. That sucks but the crazy memories will live on. Thanks for showing me the surfing magazines and saying we should get surfboards. I wish we could have done that together when I was out in California or Mexico. Also, thanks for helping me lose a whole bunch of brain cells. We had some good old high times and we “didn’t shoot no one, we was just trying to have us some fun”.(Apologies to John Prine). I pray that you are resting in peace, my brother.
