Albert Van Dulock, Jr., 68, of Waco, passed away Sunday, May 29th at a local nursing center after a long, courageous battle with cancer. A Visitation Farewell of family and friends will be 6 to 8PM Monday, June 6th at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco. A Video Life Tribute will be shown at the gathering. Van was born March 14, 1943 in Waco to Albert Van Dulock, Sr. and Lela Mae (Tyler) Dulock. At an early age, he was known as “Wimpy.” He owned and operated the family business, the Lakeview Drug Store, for 25 years. Van was also employed by Waco I.S.D. from 1957 up until his retirement in 1999. He enjoyed racing cars at Little River. He spent many hours outdoors fishing, hunting and traveling. Van lived life to the fullest and was a great father and grandpa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Thomas Edward Dulock.
Survivors include son, Jeffrey Van Dulock of Dallas; daughter, Robin Lynn Slaughter and husband, Donny of China Spring; son, Kevin Wallace Dulock of Waco; grandchildren, Whitney Lynn Stewart, Clinton Bon Slaughter, Cameron Don Slaughter, Maylan Layne White, Braden Maclain White, Taylor Nicole Dulock, Tyler Van Dulock, Camryn Reese White, and Macee Lyndon Slaughter; and great-granddaughter, Mallory Paige Stewart.
In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to American Cancer Society, Waco Chapter.

I am so saddened to hear of the passing of Van. What a wonderful person, his smile, always dressed to a T and always a gentleman to everyone is the way I will always remember Van. I had the privilege of meeting and taking care of Mr. Dulock in his last couple of weeks. He was a great man and will truly be missed by many. What a wonderful gentleman to have worked with back in the glory days of WISD Maintenance. We really enjoyed Van both at work and in and around West. We’ll miss you and your ever present smile.
