Alfred "Al" Benedum, 69, of China Spring, passed away Sunday, February 26th at a local hospital. Funeral services will be 2 PM, Wednesday, February 29th, at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Earl Presley officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM, Tuesday, February 28th at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco. Burial will take place in the family plot in Stiles, Wisconsin. Alfred was born January 30, 1943 in West Allis, WI to Alfred and June (Truckey) Benedum. He graduated in 1961 from high school in Oconto Falls, WI. Al joined the United States Air Force in December of 1961 and served in the Vietnam War. After serving for 20 years, he retired as a Master Sergeant. Al then went to work for Northrup at Vance Air Force Base in Enid, OK for almost 20 years. After moving to China Spring in 2004, he worked for Hertz Co. until his death. He enjoyed dancing, traveling and Nascar. He and his wife were serving as board members for The West over 40 Dance Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dora; grandson, Jamie Benedum.

He is survived by his wife, DeeDee Benedum of China Spring; daughters, Denise Jackson and husband, Sherman of Simpson, LA, Annette Williams and husband, Danny of Waukomis, OK, Christie Riley and husband, Scott of Alva, OK; grandchildren, Daniel, Steven, Shannon, Ryan, Cory, Riley, Lora, Ally; 5 great grandchildren; step-son, Clint Ford and wife, Yolanda of Hewitt; step-daughter, Amy Ford and husband, Brian Watts of Carrollton; sisters, Mary Ann Schroeder and husband, Dick of Cincinnatti, OH, Shirley Greetan and husband, Richard of Oconto, WI; brother, Tom Benedum and wife, Sharon of Green Bay, WI.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Tommy Crockett, Bill Wehling and coffee friends at Griff
