James A. Reid, best known as "Andy", 48, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2014, at his parent’s home in Waco. Graveside services will be at 2pm, Thursday, January 9th at Blue Ridge Cemetery in Falls County. Visitation will be from 6-8pm, Wednesday, January 8th at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend Dr, Waco. Andy was born on September 13, 1965 in Waco to Kenneth D. and Laura O. (Williams) Reid. In 1983, he graduated from Waco High School. Andy was an avid outdoorsman and sports fan, who loved all sports in general, and especially hunting, and fishing. He was a big Cowboys fan, as well. Andy preferred to spend his free time with friends and family, grilling outdoors, playing games such as poker and pitching washers, and making great memories. He will be missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Robert H. Reid.
He is survived by his wife, Roxanne Reid of Ranger; his children, Amber M. Reid of Waco, Meagan R. Garcia and husband Robert, of Briscoe, and Dalton L. Reid of Briscoe; two step-children, Darian S. Hendrix, and Konner R. Hendrix; three precious grandchildren, Aiden Michael Garcia, Jaxon Dean Garcia, and Hadley Marie Olson; one brother, David Reid of Waco; and numerous other relatives and friends.
A special thanks to all friends and family for your ministries of presence, prayers, and encouragement during this time.

I am so sorry to read of the loss of your loved one, the family have my deepest sympathy. One day God will fullfill his promise to turn the earth into a peaceful new world. The Scriptural teaching of the resurrection, is a sure hope for our dead loved ones. Ps. 37:9-11. And death will be no more. Revelation 21:3-5. I hope this will bring you some comfort.
