Annie M. Williams, 87, of Waco, passed away Wednesday, June 17th.
Funeral Services: noon, Saturday, June 27th at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Thomas officiating and Rev. Kenneth Walton, Jr. as eulogist. Burial will follow at Doris Miller Memorial Park.
Visitation: 6 to 8 PM Friday, June 26th at Lake Shore Funeral Home in Waco. Mrs. Williams will be available for public viewing beginning 10AM Friday.
Annie Williams was born January 6, 1928 in Chilton to Gabe and Lillie (Cummings) Thornton. She married L.G. Williams, Sr. in 1947. Annie was very passionate in serving others as a caregiver for nearly 40 years. After retirement, her main focus was raising her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends’ children. Family was everything to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, David Williams; great-grandchild, Jaznajia Williams; husband, L.G. Williams, Sr.; twin sister, Lizzie Mae Thornton; and special friend, Clarence Robinson.
Survivors include her children, JoAnn Walton, L.G. Williams, Jr., (Charlene), Carl Michael Williams (Catherine), Kenneth Williams (Cheryl), and Renee Keggins; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives; as well as devoted friends, Bertha Dawson, Earnestine Barton and Alderto Tijerino.
