Anthony “Tony” Andrew Braziel, 76, of Levita, passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Friday, May 8, 2020
He was affectionately known as “Cowboy” by many of his friends. Tony was born in Levita Sept. 1, 1943 as the seventh child of Herman “Red” and Eileen (Squyres) Braziel. He attended school in Levita and Jonesboro. After the death of his father the family moved to San Angelo where he attended Lakeview High School. After graduation he enlisted in the Marine Corps and was stationed at Camp Pendleton. At the end of enlistment he lived in New Jersey and Pennsylvania for many years, returned to San Angelo then married Mary and retired in Minnesota. In 2014 Mary retired and they moved back to Levita to enjoy the warm weather. Tony was a talented mechanic working 30 years for General Motors and then for LORAM railroad maintenance.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Mary; son, Billy Weth of Mount Vernon, Washington; son, Kerry Weth and wife, Joan; grandchildren, Simon, Brian and Kendra Weth of Cocoa Beach, Florida; step- children, Heidi Friese (Eric) of Arizona and Scott Hrdlicka of New York; step-grandchildren, Megan Friese, Matthew Friese and Alex Hrdlick; and his sister, Carolyn Autio of Michigan.
His two nieces who were his caretakers in the final weeks of his life, Malissa Scarborough and Sherrie Manning of Gatesville, plus many other nieces, nephews and cousins in several states.
Tony lived life to the fullest enjoying rodeo, fishing, riding countless hours on his Harley, and smoking ribs and brisket “Texas style for his friends in Minnesota. He especially enjoyed a beautiful sunrise or sunset. On the day of his departure there was a beautiful sunset in the Western sky. Tony would give the shirt off his back to a friend in need and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He had many good friends across the nation. He had a love of animals big and small with many beloved pets in his lifetime. We will miss his wit and humor, his stories and his knowledge of family ancestry.
There is no service planned at this time. His remains will be cremated and then will be interred at a future date in the Levita Cemetery where many of his family members rest.
A special thank you to the doctors and staff of Coryell Memorial Hospital, Texas Oncology and Bluebonnet Hospice for their care and kindness.
If you remember anything of me after I leave this earth remember that I loved even when it was foolish and cared even if it was unwanted. When my body is gone remember my heart. The only things you can take with you when you leave this world are the things you have packed in your heart.

My family and I had lots of good times over many years boating, camping, cooking BBQ, riding Harleys, and going to drag races with Tony.
He was a great mechanic at Mustang Chevrolet and helped me with my cars and trucks.
We will miss seeing and talking to him.
My family is so grateful to have had the friendship with you. My son was so heartbroken but knows when he puts on his cowboy hat and boots you will be smiling. We will continue loving you. Thank you for providing such fun memories. God has another great angel.

Angels in Heaven ~Take hold to my Brother’s hand’s ~
We were sad to hear about Tony’s death. We very seldom saw him or even corresponded with him through the years, however, we did hear about him occasionally when ‘Beach ‘was alive. On the other hand I have had him in my heart for about 70 years. He was very young when I married his brother David Beach and I have fond memories of him as a happy child. A number of years ago he stopped to see us for a very short time as he was traveling through New Mexico . He was still the happy person that I remembered and we were delighted to see him for a short time. He will be missed.
I will miss talking to you and your texts. Your going to a better place. Your friend Ernest tea bass.
