Athena Grace Barrett, made an early arrival into this world on January 11th, 2022. On February 14, 2023, she unexpectedly passed in her sleep at home after battling Turner Syndrome and a severe heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome for a year.
Athena without a doubt was a light that gave so many people hope. In just 13 months of her life, she touched thousands of people’s hearts and lives. She affected more people in her short time here than some of us will ever do in a lifetime. When she would smile, it would just light up a room. She fought and had beaten so many odds.
Her favorite activities were playing with her two older brothers, devouring cheeto puffs, and spending time with her parents watching movies. She was the happiest little girl and was so full of life.
Athena is proceeded in death by her great uncle, Michael Fedro; her grandfather, James Conditt; her great-great grandmother, Clara Watkins; and great-grandfather, Richard Barret.
She is survived by her parents, Matthew and Kandace Barrett; brothers, Kaleb and James Barrett; grandmothers, Charlotte Fedro and Sharon Conditt; aunts, Susan Conditt and Kristin Fedro; cousins, Lexi, Jordan and Kylie Fedro; and great-grandparents, Charles and Darla Fedro and Christine Barrett.
