B. W. Brown, Sr., 71 of Elm Mott, passed away Friday, July 27, 2017 after suffering a massive heart attack.
B. W. was born February 28, 1946 in Houston, Texas to the late Bert J. Robertson and Vesper Brown Robertson. He was raised in the Aldine-Westfield area of Houston and after high school remained there for many years. He relocated to the Waco and Elm Mott area about 30 years ago. B. W. worked for many years as machinist and other maintenance jobs. After retiring from TSTC he went back to work for Connally High School. B. W. enjoyed watching old westerns, Judge Judy and any time the Rocky Movie marathon was on, he was set for the day. Spending time with his buddies playing poker at Bill’s house or having coffee at the local coffee shop brought B. W. great joy. He had a passion for spending time with his grandchildren and watching them grow and achieve. B. W. was known for buying and trading cars, his last car he had purchased was a Dodge Challenger. B.W. did not really like to travel but his family got him to reluctantly agree to go several times in the last couple of years. He truly enjoyed his trip to Dallas to see Loretta Lynn perform. As well, the trips to Philadelphia to run the steps that Rocky ran and to Tennessee to Loretta Lynn’s Café, were highlights for him. B.W. told his girls while at the café; if she were to come in there he would definitely die a happy man. B. W. was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Vesper Brown Robertson; and his grandson, Eric Terral.
B. W. leaves to cherish his memory his children, Carrie Brown Boley and her husband Kris, B.W., Jr. (Toby) Brown and his wife Samantha, Toni Brown, and Angela Gammage and her companion, Sammie Pate; his siblings, Bobby Keys, Patricia Summers and her husband Leroy, and Nancy Carlton; grandchildren, Sommer Ramsey, Kassie Terral, Camron Carrillo, Tyler Carrillo, Brayden Pate and Baby Braxton on the way; great grandchildren, Calvin House, Izabell Marie Haffey and Joseph Michael Juarez, Jr.; along with numerous other loving family members.

BW I am thankful for all the cups of coffee and games of pool we played. You helped me along in life with trades as well as get my drivers license. You were my longest knowing neighbor, you were my friend and even saved my life. You will never be forgotten by me. This neighborhood will never be the same without you and my heart is broken very much. I pray for all your family and friends to mourn peacefully. God bless and keep. To the Brown Family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May God wrap you in his arms and give you comfort like only he can. BW is an unforgettable man. Anyone who had the honor of meeting him, will never be able to forget him. His friendly personality and his ability to make others laugh (even at themselves) will forever be in our memories. BW was a true gentleman and always treated women with respect. Every time BW would stop by our house for a visit, he would show us his newest car, and would tell us “this is the last one”. BW was so proud of his children and grand kids, he shared many many stories with us about them. We pray that God continues to Bless the Brown family with the love and support for each other that BW had for them.
B.W. never forget him, he had a great laugh you could pick out in any crowd. Enjoyed my days at connally working with him .
