I remember her sincerity while working at the Educators Credit Union. She and Al were such friendly folk.
Jamie, I cannot believe that you have already left for your eternal trip! I’m going to miss you so much! Everyone is going to miss you, especially Don and all your children and grandchildren. Your mom and Martha are undoubtedly rejoicing to see you, as well as all of your aunts and uncles, etc., including my mother, Aunt Euna! You and I had WONDERFUL times together on this old Earth. I remember once when you were ironing, just before you married, I asked you how many children that you wanted to have, and you responded, "Five; I want them to have brothers and sisters to play with." You were an only child most of your life. Well, you had four beautiful, sweet children (even James, LOL)! For some reason, I couldn’t say "Billie Jean" when I was young and started calling you "Jamie." That name stuck, and you always wanted me to call you that, even into our latter years. Several of us cousins called you "Jamie." Don, Beverly, James, and Cindy, I’m asking God to cover you with HIS love, peace, and healing hand through this difficult time of earthly goodbyes to your Sweetheart and Mother. You children inherited your mom’s beautiful smile and kind heart! I’ll always have a smile in my heart and on my face for Jamie! I love you all – Bettie!

Today I worked in my garden, setting out many colorful plants. I will miss her visits to our home, walking in the garden and finding plants to swap. She is so close to my heart, and it so hard to say so long for now. The flowers will remind me she is still with me.
