Billie Jean Drake,80, of Waco, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2014, at Providence Hospital. There are no services planned.

Billie was born in Waco, Texas to Daisy (Roberts) and Bill Drake on April 4, 1934. Billie was a kind and nurturing woman who loved children. For over 40 years, she had an in-home daycare that provided a warm and loving environment for children in the Waco area. Billie invested in each of the children’s lives that participated in her program. Her friends and family will miss her tender nature and fun laugh.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandmother, Mozelle Morris; and a sister, Judie Keller.
She is survived by her cousin, Priscilla and Tom Hollingsworth; brothers-in-law, James Keller and sons of Fort Worth, David and Debra Miller of Waco, Brandon and Karen Hixson of Ennis, and Shawntee and Brandon Warden of Ennis.
