Billie L. Stewart, 84, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013, in her home surrounded by her loving family. A private family memorial service will be held at a later time in California. Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online Guest Book at www.LakeShoreFuneralHome.com.
Billie was born August 29, 1929, to Samuel and Bessie (Lawler) Leamon in La Mesa, Texas. Later in life, she worked as a manager for three Gifts Shops for Broadway Department Store in California for many years. She enjoyed puzzles and reading, but most of all, Billie enjoyed the role of mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, of which she excelled. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Donna King.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Charles Stewart of Waco; two daughters, Susan Peterson and Nancy Barnard, both of Waco; one son, Gary Stewart wife, Sally, of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A Special Thanks to Scott and White Hospice Team for being there in our time of need. Also thanks to Raylind, who was at her side when the Lord called for her, and also to Marla that gave so much comfort and prayer. We love you all.

.I am so sorry to read of your loss. Just think of the happy prospect that the promise of the resurrection hope has for those who are asleep in death. To be able to see them again here on earth, is a wonderful thing that is going to happen. So very soon Jehovah God has promised to do away with death. Ps. 37:29.
All my love, prayers and thoughts are with you.
Our hearts go out to you for the lost of your sole mate. She will be watching over you till you meet again. All the Angels will be watching over you. She was the sister I (Felicia) never had.
Love you Bro!
