Billie Moses passed away so peacefully on her birthday, Sunday, August 14, 2016, surrounded by her family and friends, as well as her little companion Sealy.
Celebration of Life and Sharing of Memories: Friday, August 19, 2016 from 4:00PM to 6:00PM in the Reception Center of Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco with a time of sharing to be at 5:00PM. Please come and help us wish her a happy farewell.
Billie will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her. She was such a fine lady with an incredible sense of humor, style and quick wit. Billie deeply enjoyed traveling, cooking and feeding others, gardening, and most of all a good game of Bridge. She achieved her Life Masters. Billie was faithful and loved God, it meant so much to her to be in worship and fellowship at Western Heights Baptist Church for Sunday school and Wednesday evening. She accomplished so much in her 81 years of life; those of us who knew and love her know all too well her impact so it need not be put in print. She will never be forgotten.
We wish to thank all the wonderful individuals who helped in caring for Billie in the last few years. It is an understatement to say they all added so much joy to her life. Some she counseled, others she taught to cook as well as so many other things. Billie proved to be life changing in so many of their lives and they added so much joy each day.
Our mom, nanny, aunt, dear friend and matriarch cannot ever be replaced; she was truly one of a kind.
We’re so thankful to Providence Hospice Place for helping us made a close to this wonderful lady’s life. They are what angels look like on earth.

It has been many years since I’ve seen Billie. I met her in the salon & treasured her presence every time I would see her. She always had a smile & a kind word. I was blessed to know her.
What a true lady in every sense of the word She was so encouraging, uplifting, and easy to be with. Her sense of humor, and her kind and gracious spirit, made everyone feel welcomed and valued. She leaves a wonderful legacy to strive for. I am so blessed to have known her.

When I was a young boy, I would sometimes go to the beauty shop with my mom in the mornings. Billie Moses had an appointment right before mom, and she was always so kind and sweet to me. She would invite me to her house to swim. Then, I would see her and Sam years later at Luby’s having dinner. She always smiled and winked at me. She had so much class and always looked so nice and was beautiful on the inside, too. Years passed, and I would often think of her and wondered how she was doing. Then, in February of this year (2016) I saw her while taking my dad to Dr. Christian. It truly made my day seeing her and she asked about my mom and invited me to bring her over to visit sometime. That was six months ago and I had planned on doing it before this year had ended. Unfortunately, I read of Billie’s passing on the 14th. A part of me is rejoicing in knowing that she celebrated her birthday in heaven with Jesus. My family and Billie go way back, as she and my mom were friends for many years and she played bridge with my Aunt Genevieve. We also knew Sam and the Moses family well, as our family is of Syrian/Lebanese descent. Sam’s mother (Rosalie) visited my grandmother at our home many times, and I knew her, too. Our loving thoughts and prayers are with the Moses family. May God wrap you in His loving arms and may you find peace and comfort.
