Billy Jack Whiddon

Whiddon, Jack

Billy Jack Whiddon of Axtell passed away unexpectedly on August 2, 2024. He was 42 years old.

Jack was born February 18, 1982, in Waco, Texas to Billy Dean and Quata Whiddon. He attended Axtell ISD and resided in Axtell his entire life where he remained close with many childhood friends.

He was a hands-on learner and spent his life mastering many skills. He was known by most for his willingness to lend a helping hand and was always there when anyone needed assistance. He had a huge heart and was a generous and loyal friend.

He once shared the quote “Be the reason someone believes in good people.” That was Jack through and through. He will be missed dearly.

Jack is survived by his parents Billy Dean and Quata Whiddon; his grandmother Martha Thornton; brother David Whiddon; sister and brother-in-law Tammy and Anthony Belk; nephew Gavin, niece Bralyn; aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close friends who were like his family.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Billy Joe Whiddon, Beatrice Whiddon and Alton Thornton.

Although he had no children of his own he leaves behind a legacy of kindness that will be remembered by all who knew him. He may be gone but he will live on in the hearts of those he loved and those who loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 5pm on August 31, 2024, at the Prairie Hill Community Center.
