Bob Parsons, 71, of Waco, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2011 at the Waco V. A. Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. Military graveside services will be 11AM Friday, April 29th at Bosqueville Cemetery with Rev. David Archer officiating. Family fellowship will follow the service at the home of Chuck Parsons. Bob was born December 6, 1939 in Waco to John Curtis and Bulah Viola (Ferrell) Parsons. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a retired salesman and was an avid golfer. He enjoyed times past living in Denison and Marble Falls.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Connie; his parents; and brother, Eddie Louis Parsons.
Survivors include sons, Michael Lance Parsons and wife Amy of Houston, Mitchell Lane Parsons of Frisco, Sean Dean Parsons and wife Anne of Robinson, and Steve Turnage of Waco; daughter, Michelle Leane Wylie and husband Brandon of Nampa, Idaho; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; siblings, Judy Parsons-Sickles and husband Bob of Grand Prairie, Chuck Parsons and wife Sharon of Waco, and John Paul Parsons of Pagosa Springs, CO; and numerous nieces and nephews

During some very trying times in my life, after a series of poor decisions, Bob expressed genuine concern and compassion in asking me questions and giving advice That formed a lasting impression of the true nature of this kind man. I love you Dad. I learned so much from you. I will never forget you, and I will always miss you. You were so fun to be around, and you were always there when I needed you. You are forever in my heart.
