Bobby G. (Bob) Thompson, 77, of Waco, passed away Sunday, June 7th at a local hospital. Memorial services will be 11AM Wednesday, June 10th at Beverly Hills Baptist Church with Rev. Bob was born August 21, 1931 in Whitney to Oliver Floyd and Jessie Vera (Conger) Thompson. He served in the U.S. Army from 1949 to 1952 during the Korean Conflict. He married Merlene Simmons on April 25, 1953 in Waco. Bob was in the appliance business since 1959 in Waco, Cleburne and Temple.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Thompson.
Survivors include wife of 56 years, Merlene Thompson of Waco; daughters, Debbie Moore of Tyler and Karla Kritztein of South Beloit, Illinois; two special nephews, Oliver McNeil and Don Lowrey, both of Waco; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
