Bobbie June Spruiell

Spruiell

Bobbie June Spruiell, age 91, of Hewitt, passed peacefully away at home surrounded by her loving family in the early morning hours of April 25, 2024.

In the early years of her marriage, she worked alongside her husband on the farm.  After moving to town, she was manager of the Hubbard school cafeteria and dietary manager at the Hubbard hospital.

She was always there for her family, whether providing them a place to live if needed, as school room mother for her grandsons and great grandchildren, providing an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on, and supporting their decisions with unconditional love.

Her passions in life were her family and cooking.  She combined the two by teaching everyone in her family to cook, especially recipes that were handed down through generations of her family.  One of the first things her great-great grandchildren, Luca and Bella, talked about after her passing was their granny’s good cooking.

One of her last happy times with her family was April 15, 2024, at her great-great grandson, Maddox Boswell’s, 1st birthday party at her rehabilitation facility.

She was the glue that kept our family together.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, sister, husband Weldon Spruiell and her beloved grandson, Rob Boswell.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Connie Spruiell of Hewitt; grandson, Kevin Boswell and wife Kim of Lacy Lakeview; great grandchildren, Brock and Robert Boswell of Hewitt/California, Justin Boswell and wife Arden of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; and Brooke Rangel and husband Mark of Waco; great-great grandchildren, Luca and Bella of Waco and Maddox of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and her beloved Chi-weenie, Lucy Lou.

A celebration of Bobbie’s life will be scheduled at a later date.

Granny will be greatly missed. I have known her a long time one of the most loving people you will ever meet. She loved to feed everyone. I remember her cooking lunch for us (rob, Sam and myself) all the time. She will be greatly missed.
