Gene had a tremendous tenor voice that was operatic. Bobbie accompanied him and sang harmony. Their voices blended perfectly. They were a joy to listen to. They were invited to sing at many places; they often sang at FMC in Waco. I knew her personally. She was just a wonderful person. I don’t know one bad thing about her.
I know there is beautiful music in heaven with Bobbie and Gene both there. Their beautiful music was greatly appreciated when they were attending BE United Methodist Church.
What a Blessing Bobbie and Gene were to Speegleville United Methodist Church and our family. I have very fond memories of the beautiful musical talent. Thank you to the Moore family for sharing your parents with us. May God Bless you!
Susan and Family,
I am so sorry for you great lose. Your mother was such a special lady. She had such beauty both inside and out. I know it will be hard for you to move on since you have dedicated your life to taking care of her, but she would want you to be happy. I’m hoping you can find peace in knowing that she is with your Dad and singing in Heaven. If you need me anytime day or night give me a call. I love you girl.

All three of us loved Bobbie and Gene and benefited from their ministry. Bobbie was a special friend with a beautiful singing voice and a loving and faithful life in service to her Lord Jesus. Our deepest sympathy to her family. You are in our prayers.
Many years ago, as a student at McMurry College in Abilene, I had the opportunity to meet Bobbie and Gene. I was blessed by their ministry. They touched my life and I am thankful for their gifts and their obedience to use them.
Thank you.
God saw she was getting tired,
A cure was not to be,
So, He put His arms around her
and He whispered come to me.
A Golden heart stopped beating.
Hard working hands were laid to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best!
I love that poem. Someone gave it to me when Virgil died. May it comfort you, too.
I wish so much I could have seen Bobbie and Gene before they passed but traveling has not been an option for me in the past few years.
Even in the midst of sorrow, my heart rejoices knowing that she is now ultimately healed and with Jesus forever and ever.
My deepest sympathy to you and your family,
Katherine Bell
Long time and forever friend
Hi Katherine, you don’t know me, but I wondered how long you knew Gene and Bobbie? I’m almost positively sure that they once lived in Hamlin, TX. She was my first grade teacher in 1957. I just now found this as I was looking to see if there was anything about her online. I hate so much to see that she has gone to her Heavenly home. She will see my mom again and we all loved her so very much. Please pass this message on to whom it may concern. Wendy Russell Keller
We love you and miss you very much Nanna. We know you are with Papa Gene and all our loved ones in heaven. You and Papa Gene can now sing together once again.
I was so scared when I came to Courtyard, and when I wheeled up to a table for lunch, you were there. Your kindness, with charm and acceptance of me was beautiful and endearing. Who ever would have thought that a Nazarene/Methodist Protestant would bring an old backsliding Catholic back to God? But you did with your faith, your beautiful voice, and your wonderful acceptance of me. I will never forget you, and I’ll never forget the fun. Love you forever.

To My Dear Moore Family and Loved Ones,
Bobbie and Gene I have always called my Spiritual Mother and Father. These two special people first introduced me to the Holy Spirit and the unconditional love of Jesus. I serve now in Northern Uganda because of their love, support and encouragement.
The family have always and continue to love and support me in so many way for which I thank God for the blessings they have and are to me.
You are all in my heart and prayers. I listen to the recordings of Gene and Bobbie frequently and share them with many here. Seeds of their faith and love of God are being sown here through their God given talents.
I know now Bobbie and Gene are singing to my Jesus.
I love you all and though I am not there physically my heart and prayers are with you all.
Love and Blessings,
Susan, Jonathan, Laurie, I am "family" in the Lubbock area. My mother was Syble Moore Harris, Archie’s daughter. We were blessed to have your Dad sing at our Dad’s funeral in Ropesville, in 1996. Your mother was a beautiful woman, inside and out! Her talent was remarkable! I have been in awe of her "fighting" spirit! I share in your grief. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. My Love.
To Susan & Sue and all the rest of the family,
Just think of how many lives Bobbie touched through the years as she sang all those years and through those difficult years of cancer. The testimony for Christ Bobbie has left behind will continue to reach out as a blessing to many other lives, just like it has been to mine. She was a great inspiration and so blessed to call her my friend. I have such fond memories of Bobbie and Gene coming to stay with us when I was a little girl, and I’m so blessed knowing that my mom and dad were best friends with them for some 48 years or so. May God bring to your mind those precious memories of the past to help to ease the pain of those difficult days toward the end. I know how very much Bobbie appreciated all you both did for her and I too am thankful you were there. Life was so hard for all of you. Bobbie is with Gene (as well as my Daddy) and may that bring you great comfort knowing we will all see them again as we meet Jesus face to face.
With all my love,
Susan Hampton

Dear Jonathan & family, it is with great love and heartbreak that I awake to discover that Bobbie has left us. I regret that I didn’t take the time to see and visit with her when I was there last week. I am disappointed to realize that I will never hear her beautiful voice or see her flashing smile again this side of Heaven; however, I rejoice that she is waiting for all of us there and, with your dad, singing in the greatest choir that ever was or will be! God bless you all and give you peace.
Love in Christ,
Sam Manske
