Bobby Lee McClure, 86, of Woodway, went home to glory and met Jesus on August 17, 2016.
Celebration of her life will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Moonlight Drive Fellowship Church, 828 W. Moonlight Drive, in Robinson, TX 76706.
Bobby was born February 21, 1930 in Mount Calm to Azlee and Myrtle Kuykendall. She became a nurse anesthetist at Providence Hospital and worked there for many years. She married Jerry McClure in July of 1963. They spent many of their years together watching and playing sports. Bobby enjoyed playing tennis with her husband for many years.
She also enjoyed spending time with her “children” which were her nieces and nephews, going on camping trips and vacations with them. However, her passion was spending daily time with her Lord and Savior, Jesus, reading, studying His word and praying for others. She knew how to depend on God to be her light in times of darkness, strength in times of weakness and comfort in times of sadness. Bobby never wanted to miss an opportunity to tell others about Jesus. She was a faithful member of Moonlight Drive Fellowship Church.
Bobby was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Jessie Lewis, Nona Kuykendall and Pluma Cunningham; and one brother, James “Buddy” Kuykendall.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry McClure of Woodway; two sisters, Billie Young and Nadine Kuykendall both of Waco; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Moonlight Drive Fellowship Church.
