Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 15, Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel
Buffiejo was born March 31, 1975 in Seoul, South Korea before being adopted by her parents, Wendell and Josette Smith. Buffie and Joe met and were married in Oklahoma and eventually made Texas their home. She was a dedicated ER nurse at Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Medical Center at the time of her death. Being an Emergency Room nurse was her passion, which allowed all of her co-workers and patients to be touched by her kind and caring nature. She was a loving wife and mother, and the keeper of Joe’s heart. Buffie was the rock of her family, and they were honored to call her wife and mother. Buffie and Joe shared 23 years of marriage, committed to one another and their children. Life will never be the same without her. Buffie always put her family first. She was firm when she needed to be and loving no matter the circumstance. She had a heart as big as Texas. She would help any friend in need and friends quickly became family.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Joe Craig; daughter, Ashley; sons, Dallas, Devin and Austin; her father, Wendell Smith; brother, Scott Smith; and her fur babies, Sniper, Zeus and Odin.
