Byron Neil Scott, 67 of Waco, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, May 26, 2024.
Memorial Service: 3PM Sunday, June 2, 2024 at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel.
Byron was born on May 18, 1957 in Dallas to William and Betty June Scott. He was raised in Arlington, where he graduated from Sam Houston HS. He worked hard at various jobs including Bell Helicopter, UT Arlington, and the Trinity River Authority. But his favorite job was being a stay-at-home dad to his youngest boy, Owen. Byron met Mary Renfro in 1989 and together they had three children Hannah, Ethan and Owen. You could always find them at the river or the local dirt pit, getting dirty and making memories. Byron had many hobbies, including NASCAR, Car Shows and Football, but his favorite pastime was sitting in the garage, listening to the radio, and watching the world go by. Google Maps actually captured him in their 360 photos of the neighborhood.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Eugene and Betty June Scott; brother Eldon Lewis Scott.
He is survived by his wife Mary Lynn Scott of Lacy Lakeview; children, Hannah Grace Scott of Ft. Worth, TX, Ethan William Scott of Lacy Lakeview, TX, and Owen Daniel Scott of Keller, TX; grandchildren Lotus Skye Stout and Terrya Marcielle Scott, and a large extended family.
