Our precious Nugget Princess, Caoimhe Joy McCarty, cherished daughter of Jason and Amy, earned her eternal mermaid tail Friday, May 6, 2022.
She was a miracle in action every day of her 10 years, facing life with determination and sass. Caoimhe loved the water, bubbles, Furchester, and trying new foods. She was very active and loved being involved in many activities including sports and Girl Scouts through No Limitations as well as her church’s children’s ministry. Caoimhe brightened the lives of everyone who knew her. Being the only girl in her Bible class at Robinson Church of Christ for many years, she developed a group of loyal protectors who loved taking turns helping push her wheelchair and participate in class. She and her closest girlfriend, Hannah, were kindred spirits who enjoyed every minute they spent together.
Caoimhe is survived by her parents, Jason and Amy McCarty; paternal grandmother, “Booma” Jeannie McCarty; uncle Tony Martin, his wife Jennifer, and their children Parker and Macy; uncle, Richard Martin; and the many friends Caoimhe touched throughout her life. Caoimhe has been reunited in death with her maternal grandmother, “Gangy” Peggy Martin.
The McCartys would like to give a special thank you to the amazing staff at Cook Children’s Hospital who consistently surrounded her with compassionate care. Visitation will be held from 10 – 11:30AM. A celebration of Caoimhe’s life will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Robinson Church of Christ, located at 428 Chado Lane in Robinson, TX at 12 PM. The service will also be shared via Facebook on the Robinson Church of Christ page. The family encourages all who knew Caoimhe to attend and share memories to celebrate her life. Family and friends will be wearing purple, green or teal in honor of Caoimhe and invite guests to join in wearing Caoimhe’s favorite colors. Luncheon will be held directly after the celebration of life.

My heart broke hearing about my sweet girl Caoimhe. She touched my heart at the hospital and she’s one I will never forget. I always enjoyed seeing her sweet face even after everything she’s been through in such a small amount of time. I loved taking care of her. She was truly one of my favorites and I will miss seeing all of you too. My thoughts and prayers go to y’all during this time. ❤️
I just heard of Caoimhe’s passing today. I loved working with her and her parents. She had challenges but she always was moving forward.
She will always be remembered. Blessings to all.
