I remember Caroll when I was young and we visited her and her family near Detroit. I am named after her mother. We went for boat rides and she was a fabulous lady. Her house was always decorated with lots of beautiful iron work and a Medieval Knight with a suit of armour stood in the kitchen. I can still see it today. I looked up to her. I wish I could have seen her again. God bless.
DearRoy, we were so sad to hear about the loss of your mother.
I don’t know if you remember us. You and our son William met in kindergarten and became close friends. You stayed with us many times. You even came to California when we moved back here. William would love to reconnect with you. You can call or text him 619-857-1562.
Our prayers and thoughts are with you.
Bill, Robin, William, and Eric Marty

Roy- I am so sorry – Our moms are our number one fans in this world always- I’m sure she was so very proud of you and your family. Cherish all the memories and all the photos I’m sure you are going through and remembering all the fun times- My heart hurts for you. I will be thinking of you today as I’m sure this will be one of the toughest days – I wish you peace and comfort- sending hugs and prayers from Arkansas.
I met Caroll in the mid 1990s when she worked for Miller Family Steakhouse (where Salty Dog is now). I would normally take my lunch break around 1:30 in the afternoon and order a ribeye or the lunch special. Saul, Billie and Caroll always treated me like family. Some days, Caroll would sit at my table and we’d discuss our pets, working in the yard, Catholicism, and had many good laughs about life in general. She had given me her pet Macaw named (Bub-Bub) who I still have, love and cherish today. I have had this bird for 20 plus years now! When her son Roy was a young boy, I took them to the Heart ‘O Texas Fair & Rodeo. We had the best time and she always reminded me of that time years later when we’d catch up talking on the phone. She was indeed a great friend and she thought the world of Harold, as she always mentioned him every time I spoke with her. I knew she was experiencing some health problems and doing some rehab about a year ago. While my heart is heavy with sadness, I will always hold onto the cherished memories. Yes, I will continue to take good care of Bub-Bub and give her a big hug and kiss for you Caroll! May God comfort and bless her loving family.
I’m so sorry to see that Caroll passed away, time goes by so fast! Our boys hung around together at Bosqueville and sometimes I would see her around. We would always catch up! She was the sweetest and hard worker! Sending our love!
