Carolyn J. Gunn, of Waco, Texas, died Thursday, June 8, 2017, at the age of 72.

Carolyn was born on September 11, 1944 in Waco, Texas. She graduated from Waco High School in 1962. She received a degree from Baylor University in Music education. Carolyn worked as a public school teacher and in the travel industry. She was a member the Holy Spirit Episcopal Church of Waco, Texas. Carolyn was a life-long enthusiastic supporter of Waco and of Baylor University. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents Everett and Annelle Gunn and her brother Richard Gunn. She is survived by her cousins Steve Gunn of Emmaus, PA, and Marsha Gunn Lovin of Georgetown, TX.

Carolyn was our neighbor growing up on Lyle. She was a great neighbor. Always had time to talk or listen. She was kind and generous. She taught me how to knit. She took good care of her mom after her fathers death. May she rest in peace.
