Charlene Smith passed away Saturday, October 9, 2021.

Service Information: Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Lake Shore Funeral Home.

Charlene Smith was born to the parents of Simon and Prescilla Evans on December 27, 1958.

She accepted Christ at an early age. Charlene attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Bynum, Tx.

She attended Bynum ISD in which she received her high school diploma. She would later move to Waco, Tx where she attended TSTC and received her degree in Culinary Arts. After receiving her degree she started working at Green View Manor where she met and married Timmy Head June 18, 1999.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Simon and Prescilla Evans.

Charlene leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Timmy Head; daughter, Latonya Calvin and husband Jimmy; two stepsons, Quincy and Zavier Starts; three grandkids, Demetria Evans, Raiven Evans, and Deodrick Jackson; six step grandkids, Jay, Tay, Dede, Ireland, Brooklyn, and Xaverundia; six great grandkids, JaDarian, Jaida, Jania, Jalissa, Dwayne Jr., and Ka’Miyah; sisters, Alice Smith of Fort Worth, Tx, Prescilla Long and husband Michael of Hillsboro, Tx, Clara Johnson and husband Robert of Bynum, Tx, and brother Alford Evans and wife Margie of Dallas, Tx.two close and dear friends, Joanne Johnson and Sandra Keggins; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
