Charlene Zink Packard

Charlene Packerd

Charlene Zink Packard, 55, of Bruceville, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2020.

Celebration of  Life Service: 5:00 p.m. Saturday, October 17, at Crestview Church of Christ, 7129 Delhi Rd., in Waco

Charlene was born in Ft Worth on July 9, 1965 to Charles & Peggy Zink.  She was considered a fierce little woman with a heart of gold and a backbone of steel. Charlene graduated from Richfield High School in 1983. She worked as a packer at Packless Industries where she took an early retirement due to health issues brought on by Multiple Sclerosis.

Charlene’s love for her two daughters was unconditional. She loved showing off pictures and telling stories about her family.  If she had her way, she would have attended more life events, but health would not allow it. However, her deviled eggs were always a welcome sight and often fought over at family functions.

She found joy in being around her grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Charlene was preceded in death by her parents, Charles & Peggy Zink of Waco.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 20 years, Timothy Packard; two daughters, Valerie Vasser of Bruceville and Chelsea Packard of Robinson; stepson, Alvin and spouse, Jenny Packard of Belton and stepson, Timmy Packard of Waco; brothers, Travis and spouse, Amanda Zink of Robinson, Ron and spouse Candy Zink of Illinois and Larry Zink of Dallas; five grandchildren, Harley Deatheridge, Alvin and Caleb Packard and Sara and Zachariah Packard; and several nieces and nephews.
