When Interfirst Bank wanted a new drive-in facility, Pat sold us a property, but the entry area was too small. An old timer had his corrugated tin house on a lot we needed. He had been there since creation and had no desire to leave. Pat and I visited him with no success, but eventually came up with a solution he was happy with. We bought the lot next to his and built him a nice 2 bedroom house. The old timer liked Pat or we never would have made this work. Pat didn’t leave us after the big sale, he helped us fix the problem. That’s the kind of guy Pat was.
Please know that all our warmest thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I’m so glad I was able to be there last fall to visit with everyone. We miss you and think of you every day. Brandi
I got to know Charles and Sherry and their family through Christmases at Jamie and Eric’s home. They are special people who hugged family (and extended family) and brought laughter and happiness when they came. Charles will be greatly missed, but his example and memory will continue through his family.
Sherry & Family,
My heart grieves for your loss, but also rejoices in Pat’s victory. I cherish the years that I worked with Pat. He was always a ray of sunshine, such a family man, and spoke so sweetly of his dear family. He will be truly missed, but we shall all join him again one day.
Sherry, if you wish to contact me, please feel free to do so.

I will miss the laughter of my Uncle Charles, known by so many as Pat Patton, his knowledge of things inane, and his love of people. He was in sales his whole life but what he sold more than anything was himself. Everyone smiled when they had the chance to share a little bit. My heart goes out to his beloved wife Sherry, his daughters Tammy and Michele, grandson Tyler, and my daddy, Mike and the whole Jordan, Patton clan.
Dear Sherry and family, I am so sorry about your loss. Pat was always so friendly, a helpful neighbor, and a kind and caring person. He made the world a better place just by his presence and his compassion. Please know that many hearts are with you now, and many friends and neighbors are praying for you. Please let us know when the Abilene memorial will be held. MARY ANNE RAY (next door).

I am so very sorry for the loss of your Father. I knew him a very short while, but I will never forget the wonderful visit we had just a couple of weeks ago. In fact, I was going to call and come by this week to say, "Hello".
I know he will be greatly missed.
May God bless him, you and yours, always.
He has been my friend for over forty years. He inspired me to join the YMCA and start exercising, and I have been doing it since. He was a great friend. He had the gift of laughter and I will miss him for the rest of my life. Rest in peace dear buddy.
