Charles “Chuck” Pollett, 77, of Waco, went home to be with Jesus Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Providence Hospice Place in Waco.

Chuck was born to Curt and Lorene Pollett in Thomas, Oklahoma June 9, 1942. As a child he excelled in school and played football, basketball, bowling, boxing and ran track.
Chuck met his wife, Virginia Nelson in high school. They married June 2, 1960. Shortly after they moved to Raytown, Missouri where Chuck worked for Western Electric. Together they had two children, Renee and Kimberley. They moved to Waco in 1969 where Chuck co-founded Founders Preferred Life Insurance Company. Later Chuck went on and became a real estate broker selling homes businesses and storage units. He was an exceptional salesman. Chuck began dating Renee’ Merritt In 1984, finally marrying December 17, 2001, gaining a step-son Craig. Chuck enjoyed watching sports, hunting, but most of all fishing.
Chuck was preceded in death by his wife, Renee`; his first wife, Virginia Nelson Brown; his parents; his sister, Willodean Davidson; and his son-in-law, Gary Keepers.
Chuck was survived by his daughters, Renee` Prouty and her husband, Cliff of China Spring and Kim Keepers of Woodward, OK; his stepson, Craig Merritt and his wife, Jennie of Austin; three grandchildren, Thomas Prouty and his wife, Brenda of Harker Heights, Nicole Evans and her husband, Chris of China Spring and Ashlee Rodriguez and her husband, Chris of Mooreland, OK. Chuck has seven great-grandchildren, Kayli, Sam, Bailee-Jo, Cayden, Kaylin, Liam, Wade. Chuck is also survived by two nephews, Mike Johnson and his wife, Barbara of Lee Summit, Missouri and Curtis Johnson of Blue Springs, Missouri.
