Ann, Bubba, Carol, Robbie and Roy: So sad to hear about your dad’s passing. Please cherish his memories always! I’m sure he is already raising hell and your mom is settling him down. At least they are together again, where they belong. Our prayers are with all of you during this difficult time.
My prayers go out to each of you and I know that your mom and dad are together again smiling down on everyone that they loved! I grew up next door to the Dobbs and I have lots of fond memories of the times I spent with Mary snapping greenbeans on her front porch waiting for Charles to come home so I could run back next door because for some reason his gruffness frightened me. Strange as it sounds, that is a good memory I will always have of him. Love to all of you!
My thoughts are with the family. I had some of the best and most fun times of my life at Cherokee Charlies and met a lot of great people who later became great friends. There has never been another place to match it in Waco. Charlie and Mary Lou always made you part of the family when you were there whether it be playing dominoes, dancing, and just having a cold one.
