Christopher Brian Goudeau, 34, passed away Feb. 23, 2011, at his home. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2308 N. Valley Mills Dr., with Michael Richardson officiating.
Christopher was born Aug. 7, 1976, in Natchitoches, La., to Adrian and Theda Goudeau. He married Leigh Ann Melton Jan. 24, 2009, and worked with his father at Kustombilt Cabinet Shop. Christopher was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and, as such, was active in sharing his faith with others and devoted to his family.
Christopher will be greatly missed; he was the light in his family’s lives. His love of life was demonstrated in his optimism and the joy he had doing things with or for his family and others.
He is survived by his loving wife, Leigh Ann; three children, Alex, Abby and Adam; parents, Adrian and Theda Goudeau; one sister, Monica Goudeau; one nephew, Mitchell; and grandmother, Margaret Rowell, all of Speegleville.
All of Christopher’s loved ones draw comfort from the sure hope of the resurrection, but in this time of great grief, appreciate all the acts of kindness shown by family and friends.
Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.LakeShoreFuneralHome.com.

Dear Leigh Ann, Alex, Abby, Adam, I send my love to you. It breaks my heart that you must cope with the loss of your father and husband. May you hold on to the real life and remember your tears are precious to Jehovah. He has a longing desire to awaken our loved ones from death. Although these pains will soon pass away, never tire out from day to day sorrow. Hold on until the promises are realized. Remember what is ahead and that your family, spiritual family and father in heaven will always be there to hold your hand as time passes. I hope to one day meet you and Christopher in the new world. We Will Remember You Always
My brother, How do I say he is missed? We spent years in our youth making touble for our parents. They, always rolling their eyes and wondering how much more we could get into. Speaking almost daily and even though he was my baby brother I looked up him. He told me the day before this happened when we were talking about his family and marriage that he had found the way it was supposed to be and he was happier than ever could have been imagined. I am so happy that he had found that happiness. Of course it should have been so much longer. I am not sure how to make it without him. But with Jehovah’s loving guidence I will. We look forward to seeing him again soon. Our parents, LeighAnn and the kids and Mitch and I will all be waiting with open arms to greet him in the Paradise that has been promised. Oh the days we are facing, Oh Jehovah please allow us to throw this burden upon you and grant us the strength to make it through without Chris here.
To all of the Goudeau family: My thoughts and prayers are with you. May Jehovah give you comfort.
Our hearts go out to you all.

Our deepest sympathy and love to Chris’ family. He had the sweetest, ready smile and such a kind attitude. Remember "…Jehovah is close to those broken in spirit…"
May you draw comfort in knowing he is in Jehovah’s memory and will be remembered fondly by many friends until we see him again.
It brought joy to my heart to see the happiness that Chris, Leigh Ann, and the kids shared as a family. I only wish they could have had much, much more time together. You could tell Chris loved his family dearly, and he was so good to them and to the rest of us in his extended family. The loss of Chris most certainly has left a tremendous hole in the lives of Leigh Ann, Alex, Abby, Adam, his parents, sister, nephew, and grandmother and in the lives of the rest of his family. I pray for Jehovah to give his family the strength to endure as they keep focused on the hope for the future.
It was with a great sense of loss when we heard of Christopher Goudeau’s death.
We wanted to let you know that you have our greatest sympathy, and our hearts are truly saddened.
Christopher was more than just a wonderful person; he was always so kind and considerate to us that we always welcomed seeing him at every opportunity.
And, we know that his passing will not only leave a void in our lives, but in the hearts of all those who knew him.
Christopher will always remain within our hearts, and we have included Christopher and your family in our daily prayers to Jehovah. May Jehovah give you strength.
