Cindy Cook, age 60, passed away July 24, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.
Visitation: 4pm to 6pm Sunday, July 28th at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend, Waco
Graveside Service: 10am Monday, July 29th at Chapel Hill Memorial Park, Waco
Cindy was born March 11, 1964 in Kerrville, Texas to Edward Everett Howard and Tommye Ruth (Wood) Howard. She was a longtime resident of Waco and worked for many years at Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Hospital.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Edward (Butch) Everett Howard, Jr.. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Ronald (Ron) Cook of Waco; son, Chris Howard of Tyler; daughter, Ginny Manley and husband Michael of Ft. Worth; step-children, Donna Jo Cook of Oklahoma and Angela Cook of Robinson; grandchildren, Ellie and Lennon Manley and Seth and Emily Howard; sister, Regina Daniels and husband Gene of Bellmead; brother, Nick Williams of Cleburne; sisters-in-law, Thelma Burrell and Gennie Hoffman of Waco; and a host of other relatives and friends.

I worked with Cindy for many years. She was so knowledgeable in her work and always helpful to me when I needed advice on how to handle something. She was a kind and caring person. I will miss her so much. My prayers are with her family in this difficult time.

I can still hear you singing “Billie Don’t Be a Hero” in our house in New Caney. I can’t believe you’re gone dear cousin. E we’re close as children unfortunately life took us in different directions as we got older. I will forever cherish the mememories we have together. My heart and prayers go out to your family. I knew Cindy in early years. I had children with her brother Butch. I send all my love to the family and hope that one day they will find a cure for cancer. You will be let in the gates of Heaven because you were one of his angels, Cindy!
