Cynthia Ann Darr, lovingly known as “Cindy”, 60, of Waco, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017.
Visitation: Monday, June 12, 2017 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco
Graveside Service: Monday, June 12, 2017 at 11:30AM at Rosemound Cemetery, 3201 South 12th Street in Waco. Honoring Cindy serving as pallbearers will be, Cuay Gatlin, Tyler Buckner, Zach Darr, Zane Darr, Duane Horton, Jeremy Felkner.
Cynthia Ann Darr, lovingly known as “Cindy”, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017. Cindy was born July 23, 1956 in Amarillo, TX to the late Harvey and Rebecca Martinez Rumbaugh. After graduating high school, Cindy went on to attend and graduate from Heart of Texas Regional Police Academy. Cindy married the love of her life, Steven James Darr, October 27, 1979. Cindy worked in law enforcement for over 17 years, the last nine years of her career was as a McLennan County Deputy Constable in Precinct 3; she retired three years ago. Cindy enjoyed playing BINGO and taking trips to Shreveport. She as well enjoyed the strategy of going to garage sales and flea markets looking for any unexpected treasure she might find. Cindy’s true passion was her family, spending time with her husband; sons and grandchildren brought her great joy. Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Rebecca Rumbaugh; brother, Charles Rumbaugh; and sister, Mary Rumbaugh.
Cindy leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 38 years, Steve Darr; children, Jamie Rhudy, Eric Darr, Matthew Darr and wife Erin, and Brandon Darr and wife Lacey; siblings, Chris Schoolcraft and husband David, Elaine Miller and husband Keith, Tara Thomas and husband Gary, Jerry Rumbaugh, Waddy Rumbaugh, Terry Rumbaugh and Dave Rumbaugh; five grandchildren, Haillee Reily, Cuay Gatlin, Eric Darr, Jr., Ellie Ann Darr and Owen Darr; along with numerous other loving family members and friends.

I am so sorry for the loss of CINDY. You are all in our thoughts & Prayers. CINDY was a very nice neighbor that we was blessed to have. We spent a lot of days on our porches discussing all her ideas she had on how she was wanting to fix their house up & other things. CINDY rest in peace now & just know you are very much loved & missed by so many friends & family members.

Steve, you and your family are in our prayes. I never met Cindy only talked to her on the phone. She was truly one of Gods treasures. You always talked about her. You guys know the pain will ease but y’all will always have the precoius memories. May Gods blessings shine down on all you and lift you up in this time of sadness.

Cindy was a sweet fair kind lady that loved her children and grandchildren.. and would do anything she could to help others .. her kindness In fairness reach Way Beyond anybody’s knowledge.. She will be missed ..family and loved ones as well she has touched so many lives.. rest in peace Cindy and God bless you and yours ..
