Danny Strahl, 68, of Bosqueville, passed away, Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at his residence. Memorial services will be 11AM Friday, August 6th at the Church at Tree Lake with Pastor Jeff Wyers officiating. Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online Guest Book at www.LakeShoreFuneralHome.com
Danny served with the U.S. Army and fought with honor in Vietnam. He proudly fought fires with the Waco Fire Department for 20 years. And he bravely fought the battle of cancer until Jesus called him home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Bessielee Strahl; and mother-in-law, Oma.
Survivors include wife of 47 years, Doris Strahl of Bosqueville; daughters, Sandy Smith and husband Bob of Valley Mills and Loleta Stewart and husband Robbie of Burleson; son, Steve Strahl and wife Pam of China Spring; grandchildren, Aaron, Britney and husband Lawrence, Stevie, Taylor, Brandon, Shelby, and Colton; great grandchildren, Jayden and Gavin; and special recognition to his

I was saddened today to receive a call that Danny went to be with the Lord. I knew him since childhood and was his classmate at LaVega. Danny was special.

Danny was a good friend and hunting/fishing buddy of my dad’s for many, many years, and they both worked together fighting fires and saving lives for the City of Waco Fire Department.
I will never forget Danny’s warm nature, his engaging smile, and that contagious laugh!
He was very much loved, and we will miss him.

I was saddened to hear about Danny’s death. We attended school in Bellmead all of our school years; what I remember most about Danny is that beautiful smile that I know brought much joy to you over the years….may thoughts of that smile bring you much comfort in the days ahead.
