Print Obituary & Condolences
Rejoicing is what I should be doing but it’s so difficult when we lose someone who has made such a positive impression in your life, at such an early age. My heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and all who loved her, especially her “other half”, Carla. May God bless & keep you, and wrap His loving arms around you.
My deepest sympathy to the family and friends of this wonderful, caring Christian lady. She will be missed.
Our deepest sympathy to our dear friends Carla Minchew Pogue and husband Chester and to all the family.
We hold our friends close to our hearts as we have grown up together and been in each others lives a long time.
Our prayer is for God to give peace at this most difficult time, Darla will be missed most especially by her loving sister
Carla. Prayers for the parents Mr. & Mrs. Minchew in their loss of their sweet daughter.
Our hearts are heavy but the Angels in Heaven are singing!
“Oh the way we say goodbye
Is not the way that anyone would do
Like a wave out on the ocean
I will always come right back to you
Nothing changed, nothing fades, nothing lost
And we pick up where we left off”.
Rest in Peace my Friend
Christy and I have your family in our prayers. The loss of a twin cannot be described, however knowing the bond that was there and forever will be helps the healing. Darla is with the angels now. May God bless you through this difficult time.

Carla,
I am so sorry for your loss. I am sure Darla was a sweet wonderful person as is her sister and that she is celebrating the season of Christ’s birth in the arms of our loving father in Glory as we speak. God bless you, Chester, Dustin, and all of your family in the days ahead. May he fill you all with his Peace, Comfort, and Wonderful Memories!
Your friend,
Evan
My heart is broken; a piece of it is gone.
Darla, I love and will always miss you and all the fun times we have had. From the day that you were born, the times I helped take care of you (got to miss school) when you and Carla were little and in the hospital; the times I kept you when your mom worked; all the fun times at family get-togethers, at church, the fun times we had living next door to each other with each of you kids and mine, running back and forth through my house; the good times we had in UDC and OES and so much more. My, I must have made 1,000,000 million gallons of Kool-Aid when all of you were growing up. Part of that same time, I was growing up too.
Thank you for having been a part of my life. I cherish and will remember the moments. Always and Forever!!! Love you with all my heart. Aunt Shirley
