Uncle Darrell will be so dearly missed, you will always hold a place in my heart and thoughts. I will always cherish the times that we as a family spent together and the times that I came up to the Ranch when I lived in Texas. I am glad that you were able to meet Madie and she was able too see the great family that we have. Aunt Diane I wanted to be there for this time of need, but am unable too with my job. When I first met Darrell he helped me get stared on riding a horse. We would sit under the tree of knowledge and we would BS some of the time, but we mainly talked about how to ride a horse correctly. When I was riding he would yell across the arena and tell me what I was doing wrong and tried to fix it. All last summer me and him would feed the horses and he would let me drive the golf cart with him. I will remember him giving me my first cowboy hat when I first got bucked off by a horse and told me I earned the cowboy hat. I will always remember you my friend.

  17. Darrell and I worked together at Owens-Illinois in the late ’80’s. Quite frequently we worked side-by-side painting misc. things throughout the glass plant property. While I was on maternity leave I was permanently laid off and lost touch with him. When my daughter was five she raced four-wheelers and I would occasionally see him at the races (we shared a mutual friend- Dennis Smith, Darrell’s neighbor/friend). I lost touch with him again. Many years passed and after an unexpected divorce, I sought employment as well as going to college. I am employed at Mark Holcomb Group, (pre-owned cars) and was happy to discover that Darrell was a title clerk for automobile dealers. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing him several times a week and getting to know his lovely wife. Darrell was a sweet and wonderful man who always joked and cut up with me.It was my pleasure to get to know him, Diane and Dodie. I will miss him dearly …especially every time I transfer a title.
Diane (Dodie too),you are both strong loving women I know you guys will be there for one another. Please feel free to call me anytime, I will be happy to help you guys in any way.I lost my mom when I was sixteen so I know that y’all might need a shoulder to cry on or an ear just to listen. Darrell truly loved y’all and was so proud of his family.I am so glad that we kept crossing paths over the years. I sure will miss you buddy!

I was so sad to hear about Darrell. We have all been asking about him and praying he would recover. He will be missed, but remembered often. Darrell was such a kind, sweet, gentleman who was always quick with a joke, and such a cut up when at work. He could always put you in a good mood with his infectious sense of humor. He was truly one of a kind and irreplaceable. We are praying for the entire Anderson family. And Darrell, until we meet again. It was a pleasure knowing you.

  22. What a hole in our hearts you have left. Look for you every time I pass your station. Miss your teasing and smart remarks. Someone else can fill your chair, but no one can ever replace you. What a privilege it was to know you and call you my friend. Will miss you Darrell, but it’s easier to let you go knowing you’ve slipped from our hands into His.

  23. Darrell I am truly blessed to have known you. You were a wonderful person who had the biggest heart. Who could forget when you "accidentally" gave the homeless man $60 instead of $3.00 or the times you fed me and Sandy at lunch. We will miss you watching The Young and the Restless and telling us how dumb it was. There are so many good memories I have I could fill up many pages. I just want you to know how much you meant to me. Until we all meet again!!

  24. Our deepest sympathy goes out to the Anderson Family we will miss Darrell deeply. We have fond memories of him at the Ranch and will never forget everything he did for our kids especially helping Jr with his riding.
