Dave Edward Taylor passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at Baylor Scott and White, in Waco, Texas. Dave was born in Waco, Texas, to Frances Green-Taylor and Earl Taylor.
Memorial Service: 11AM Saturday, January 28 at Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church, 500 Turner Street, Waco, TX 76704
He attended school in the Waco School District. Dave served one tour in the United States Marine Corps, as a Rifleman, spending many days and nights with his Marine buddies.
Dave was preceded in death by his father, Earl Taylor; mother, Frances Curry-Jefferson; wife, Gwendolyn Taylor; brother, Curtis Wayne Taylor; sister, Marilyn D. Curry-Mainor.
He leaves to cherish his memory, one daughter, Tonya Steward-Johnson, (Ellis) of Arkansas; two grandchildren, and one great grandchild; three sisters, Lydia Simpson (Don), of San Antonio Tx, Shirley Taylor (Adolphus), of Waco, Tx, Frances, Curry Taylor (Bassett) of Atlanta Georgia; four brothers, James Taylor (Jackie), of Pittsburgh, California, Wilmer Taylor, of Waco, TX, Homer Curry, Austin, TX, Sammie Curry (Lisa), Lewisville, TX, Marvin Curry, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and special friend Tanisha Brown.
The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurse Practitioner and all those that did their very best to keep Dave comfortable.
