David Leon Berry, 76, went home to be with the Lord May 28, 2018.
Service Information: Graveside service will be held at 11:00a.m., Friday, June 1, at Gerald Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00p.m., Thursday, May 31, at Lake Shore Funeral Home.
David was born December 9, 1941 to Luther “Buster” and Lottie (Ferguson) Berry in Waco, but was raised by his grandparents, Fred and Ruth Ferguson. He worked at Duncan Truck Sales, Freightliner Dealerships and was the owner to several small businesses. David enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing and restoring old cars. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was very proud of each of them.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Larry Berry and granddaughter, Ashley Renee Berry.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Berry of Elm Mott; son, David “PJ” Leon Berry, Jr, and wife, Sandra of Grandbury; daughter, Venice Berry Yoder and husband, James and grandchildren, Jennifer Berry Logan and husband, Justin of Granbury, James David “JD” Black and wife, Amber of Denton and Amber Yoder of Denton.
He is also survived by great-grandchildren, Brayden, Brooklyn, McKenzie, Everett, and Adaline; brothers, Bobby Berry and wife Donna and Rickey Berry and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

R I P David, enjoyed talking with you on facebook and you shared your memories and pictures of the Berry family. You were so nice to me and our cousins and you will be missed.
The Bates’s Family are thinking of all of you and so sorry. David was such a nice and caring man, we all thought a lot of him and grew up with him. May the Lord wrap his arms around all of you and give you strength.

I only knew David for a short time, but knew him thru his growing up, and yesterday he was a kind ,loved everyone, did not meet a stranger, Love his God with his heart sorry for his framly they will miss him
I’m happy but sad at the same time. Absent from the bobody present with the Lord. Brother Berry was so very kind to my family gave me fatherly advise, and before I moved to WI he said he was going to miss seeing me at church waiting for him to unlock the church. See you in heaven
