David Woodard, 79, of Riesel, passed away, Friday, August 2, 2024 at his residence.
Funeral Service: 3PM Wednesday, August 7 at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Ruby (Hudson) Woodard; and brothers, Roy Woodard, Jr., Wilbert Woodard, and Claude Woodard.
Survivors include wife of nearly 25 years, Jo Ann Woodard of Riesel; children, Traci (Mark) Waldschmidt of Hewitt, Staci (Steve) Hutyra of North Richland Hills, Jo Nell Glover of Whitney, John (Elaine) McRae of Denton, and like-a-daughter, Kristina Cox of Waco; grandchildren, Kelci (Miguel) Barraza of Waco, Libby Hutyra and Parker Hutyra of North Richland Hills, Lorelai McRae and Larissa McRae of Denton, and Kylar Thompson of Riesel; sisters, Martha Gayle Bradshaw, Mary “Sissy” McGee, and Margaret “Tutor” (Marlin) Philyaw, all of Waco; a host of nieces and nephews; and close loved ones, The Gilbert Family of Whitney, and The Tanner Family of Whitney.
The family would like to acknowledge a special thanks to Sandra White, and Harbor House Hospice team, especially Aricela Aguilar and Heather Maples, for their compassionate care and concern during this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Shriners Hospital for Children or Scottish Rite for Children Hospital.
