Dorothy Brazwell McLennan was called home early Tuesday morning, May 2, 2017.
Celebration of Life Service: Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 11:00AM at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco.
Burial: Oakwood Cemetery
She grew up in Waco. Dorothy went to Moore High School. She married Cleo Brazwell in 1952 and later married Billy McLennan in 1966. Dorothy had four children. She was a longtime business owner here in Waco. Dorothy was longtime member of Pleasant Olive Missionary Baptist Church and served on the nursery board.
She was very devoted to her family and loved cooking, celebrating and sharing what she had with everyone.
Dorothy never met a stranger. We will miss Mi Dorothy, Grandma, Dot, Boss, Mama Dorothy, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Aunt. She was a classy lady, loved to dress up and celebrate.
She was preceded in death to son, Michael Brazwell; mom, Clara Foster; dad, EJ Foster; 3 brother, Aaron Foster, James Foster, Robert Foster; 2 Sisters, Isabel Johnson, Everdean (Dena) Goodman.
She leaves to mourn husband Billy L. McLennan, daughters Barbara (Lennis Sr.)Jones of Desoto & Sallie Thigpen (Alabama); sons, Ronald Brazwell and Gene Brazwell; sisters, Mary Sue Thompson, Laura Foster both of Waco; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was truly my friend for over 35 years. I will miss her.
